Cairns Art Society Members and guests attending the 2009 ArtEscape. Winter Art School in the Tropics, The Tanks, Cairns Queensland Australia

Tropical artists in Cairns hold many large exhibitions. Mainly at the Cairns Regional Art Gallery and the TAnks.

Potters, Ceramics and sculptors of tropical north Queensland belong to the Cairns Art Society.

Artist of the North is a huge exhibition held at the Tanks in Cairns annually.

ARTescape full week workshop is held at the TANKS each year around July.

Many of the CAS members paint with acrylic, oil and water colour mediums.
